The Managing Committee of Union Sports Club would like to thank all those who participated and donated money towards the “Lebanon Crisis” fund raising sporting event that took place on 11th August 2006, during its sports sessions organised for gents and ladies.

The turnout for this noble cause was overwhelming as the Siemens complex was packed with ladies who participated in the ladies sports and the clubhouse accommodated record number of crowd who played games and enjoyed the delicious barbeque. In the process both, men and women, donated towards the special fund raiser to help the innocent victims in the Lebanon war.

Union is pleased to announce the following donations were raised during the fund-raising:

• $290 was raised through the participation in gents and ladies sports
• $1,113 was donated by various individuals towards the cause
• $637 was raised by Union through the sale of the barbeque which included the cost of the food. The entire cost and profit from the sale of the food has been donated by Union Sports Club

The total funds raised for the cause was $2,040.

Union Sports Club would like to thank each and every individual who participated and donated during the fund raising event. The Managing Committee would like to specially thank the ladies coordinators for advocating the event and all the volunteers for their assistance.
